Remember the opening scene in Blue Thunder where Schneider flies his stealth mode chopper past the wahine’s window…

The image Will gives us shows surveillance of private property, and not just for illegal fireworks, without any sense that HPD is doing anything to prevent the fireworks. Not reassuring for the safety versus privacy trade-off.Also, the new use of drones is not supposed to surveil private property. Per the Civil Beat's article on the subject: "The state Supreme Court has previously ruled that police cannot obtain aerial video evidence on private property, so the drones would need to be flown over public property, including streets and parks."The street, right in the middle of the frame, is free of drones and fireworks.

Privacy—— the worst fears of folks about drones.I am fine with the drones invading my space, if it keeps deadly and destructive illegal fireworks and aerials from flying overhead.
